TDR Cattle Company is owned and operated by Mark, Leigh, and Tyler Root and is located in Livingston, Texas. The Root family has been involved in the Shorthorn breed since 2014, when Tyler purchased his first show heifer.

As a Jr. exhibitor, Tyler enjoyed being involved within the Texas Junior Shorthorn Association. During his time in the association, Tyler held positions on the Board of Directors including Senior Director, Reporter, Secretary, and President. It has always been a priority for Tyler to participate in associations like these in order to gain networking opportunities with other breeders. 

 

After a successful Jr. Show career, Tyler continues to raise and sell purebred Shorthorn and Shorthorn Plus show cattle to current exhibitors across Texas.

 

It is the primary goal for the Root family to place quality cattle in the hands of aspiring agriculturalists and for them to excel both in and out of the show ring.
